Overview
Alpha Kappa Psi is the largest co-ed business fraternity in the world, with more than 200 chapters at universities in 4 countries. I have been a member of the organization since my first year at UC Santa Barbara. We've grown an extensive alumni network of members who work at companies like Apple, Google, Amazon, 88rising, and even The White House.

About the Recruitment Theme

Defying Gravity centers around the concept of defying gravity and reaching for new heights, both literally and figuratively. It speaks to the idea of pushing oneself beyond limits and rising above challenges to achieve success. As a fraternity recruitment theme, it suggests that joining the fraternity will enable individuals to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals, both individually and as a group.
Social Media Marketing
Main marketing channels used: Instagram, Mailchimp, Linkedin, UCSB Departmental emails, on-campus tabling
With days leading up to our recruitment, I focused a short campaign spotlighting our executive board. The purpose of these posts were to highlight all the hardwork each and every member has contributed, as well as to familiarize the audience to our leadership in our organization.

During the week of our recruitment, I posted content and materials to keep our audience up-to-date on all events with daily posts and reminders for applications, interviews, and how to apply.

At the beginning of every month, I spotlighted specific brothers within the fraternity to wish them a Happy Birthday, as well as promote them towards the public for them to do so as well!

I also engaged our active body to post public profile pictures with recruitment templates and a short description of what it's like to be in Alpha Kappa Psi. This was all directly on Facebook.

With a week-long event like recruitment, my team and creatives collaborated to make a themed rush shirt as pictured below!

Partnerships & Sponsors
Our rush wouldn't have been as successful as it would've been without key sponsorships made in the progress. I coordinated with three different companies to gain products and services to advertise during rush to attract college students to learn more about us. In the process, I provided free marketing and promotions for these companies as an ambassador.
